Carol Imbriano is Associate Professor in Genetics at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, where she teaches “Genetics” and “Epigenetic mechanisms of genome regulation”. She received her Biological Sciences Degree cum laude at the University of Milan and her PhD in Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine at the University of Modena. In 2005, she developed her research group and followed her interest in the transcriptional control of cell cycle progression. Her current research concerns the transcriptional and non transcriptional role of the transcription factor NF-Y in determining the fate of cancer and stem cells.
